About me?-Aaron De Groot has been a professional artist for 6 years in Green Bay, WI.  Living in a studio, inspired bylife, andmusic. Much of his subject matter consists of jam band musicians, popular people, unique plants, movie parodies, pop-art, surreal landscapes, psychedelic colors, abstract bent visualizations, and alternative subject matter.  Aaron doesn't want to be limited to certain types of paintings, but he paints what he enjoys!Always trying to learn something new with each work. When not painting, favorite activities include camping outdoors, going to every concert event possible, Frisbee golf, friend gatherings, nature walks, listening to jam band rock music, Driving a 63' Ford Galaxie, and 4:20 research.  Professionally, Aaron started out early studying HTML/web page design.  That turned him on to the graphic design profession. Took graphic communications, figure illustration/animation design, painting, and print press courses, which lead to print press technician.  Aaron combined his natural talent for drawing and painting, with his education, to produce what you see today.  In 2000, he broke away from the machine and started his own company (Red Eye Studio ).  Currently creating artwork for a living, putting all energy into painting.  Now creating art 40 hours per week, producing 4-5 canvas paintings weekly.  That equation keeps Aaron living with a smile on his face.  A person has got to do what make them happy, don't you think?Aaron is marketing his art to a specific audience.  You know who you are!  Making his art rare due to its nature.  You'll never see images like this in a walk-in art gallery, Just on the internet.  The best way to market directly to the consumer.

Why do you create psychedelic paintings and prints? Aaron's paintings and prints make a statement.  Using combinations of bright colors and patterns to alter/manipulate impulses to specific areas of your brain.   Many people have viewed artwork naturally, sober.  When done looking, they all said they couldn't stop zoning out at it, and felt a slight sensation or a sense of satisfaction (cloud 9).  This style is more interactive for viewers.  People zone out for hours looking at all the hidden messages and objects embedded in the painting, sort of like "Where's Waldo".  Just imagine if you were not sober.  If viewed under the influence, the artwork is in its own dimension, in which words can not describe.  This experience is unique to the individual.  Many customers have brought it to this higher level.  These paintings return to you what is put into them.  This is Aaron's form of art.  You find it, it doesn't find you.  Psychedelic artwork stands out above all others.  People can see it anywhere, and always a conversational piece.  These paintings get around too.  They have been eye candy in every odd area, from smoking lounges, living & bed rooms, boats, RVs, bars, dorms, head & bead shops, basements, massage parlors, business offices, and jail, to name a few.  What room of yours would you put this artwork in?

What type of canvas is used?- The canvas is hand made by Aaron, in his shop.  Using double primed, 100% cotton canvas.  A frame is made using 3/4 inch thick stretcher boards, finally the canvas is stretched tight and stapled on the back of the frame (gallery style).  Canvas is medium textured to give it that true painting feel.  No stapled sides, allows Aaron to paint images so they wrap around the canvas from every angle.  No framing needed!  This effect gives the painting a more   3-d appearance that can be noticed from a distance.  Making canvas paintings better then any flat poster or picture.  By making his own canvases, Aaron can control the size for specific types of paintings.  An examples of this is in a 4 or 8 panel painted scene. The paintings are positioned horizontally on your wall.  Each canvas is a larger size than the next, such as adding 2" to the diameter of each canvas.  In return, you get the most unique display of scenes stretched throughout your house.  Each scenes corresponds with the next, to make a story.

All commissioned paintings are custom built to your exact specifications (you get what you want)!

What type of paint is used? - Aaron works with the highest grade acrylic paint, only the best of the best.  Rich-pigmented, textured Liquitex© professional high viscosity acrylic paints and mediums.  You'll see the most solid, ultra bright colors on canvas.  Paints have a butter-like texture, allowing you to see brush strokes.  You can see and feel every small detail.  This is one of the things that makes paintings unique from reproduced pictures.  When finished, every original painting has a protective gloss coating to bring out and lock in color for a whole life-time.

What are prints?- Prints are replicas of original paintings Aaron created throughout the years.  Making prints of the most popular paintings as a way to spread the joy of light for others to see.  Every print produced is limited edition.  Only 25 prints are made for each painting and sold throughout the year.  Each print is number labeled (? of 25) hand signed, with Red Eye Studio's logo on the back.  These prints are rare and you won't find another one like it anywhere else.  Working with the printing house to produce color crystal clear, cardboard think, ready to hang poster prints. Every print is custom framed in black heavy weight matting.  People choose prints because of low cost and variety to choose from.

Guaranteed to light up any room!
